Fabricio Monte is one of the most decorated coaches at Santos FC's academy, a world-class talent factory that has produced superstars like Pele, Robinho, Neymar, and more recently Real Madrid-bound Rodrygo. A former professional futsal player whose coaching expertise lies in developing football players through futsal, Fabricio has been coaching at Santos FC since 2003. In addition to coaching futsal in the club's historic gymnasiums, he is now plying his trade on the grass as a coach for Santos FC's top U15 football side. Having played a key role in the formative futsal years of numerous professional players and Brazilian internationals, Fabricio brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Auckland for the 2019 clinics. In most parts of Brazil, outdoor/grass football only begins at age 11 (some kids start even later). Before this age, kids only play futsal. So, come and learn Brazil's secrets! Places will be strictly limited due to the small-sided nature of futsal.

Likened to Neymar by many due to his explosive acceleration and dribbling ability, Rodrygo made an instant impact for Santos FC's professional team in his debut 2019 season. His goals and performances for Santos propelled them to the late stages of the Copa Libertadores. Transfer speculation initially linked Rodrygo to Barcelona. However, Real Madrid won the race to his signature in mid-2018 in a 52 million euros deal. Rodrygo was recently named the fourth best U21 player in the world.

Stacked with a number of Santos FC players who have since gone on to become professional footballers (including Brazil U17 internationals Rodrygo, Lucas Lourenco, Victor Yan and Kaio Jorge), the group won both the Brazilian and South American U14 futsal titles. Fabricio worked with this group, many of whom have been at Santos FC since they were little kids, from 2010-2015. They are considered a golden generation by the Santos FC football hierarchy. Rodrygo, Lucas, and Victor have all since made their debuts for the Santos FC 1st team.

Callum first met Fabricio in 2014 during a month-long observation at Santos FC. In early 2016, he brought him to Auckland to run trainings with his Roskill Futsal Club players and provide further mentoring and guidance. At the end of 2016, Callum took five Roskill Futsal players to Santos FC to train for four weeks. In 2017, two more Roskill Futsal players - Anas Al-Afaghani (U8) and Mahaki Rakena (U9) - travelled to Brazil for six weeks to train at top clubs including Santos FC, Fluminense, and Atletico Paranaense. In 2019, Callum will launch his second futsal centre, Central Auckland Futsal School, which will be based in Mt Eden.
Callum is a New Zealander who has spent the better part of a decade learning from Brazil's best youth coaches first-hand. He has spent extended periods in the futsal and football departments of top Brazilian clubs, including Santos FC (2014, 2016, 2017), Fluminense (2014, 2017), Vasco da Gama (2010) Atletico Paranaense (2006, 2017) and Sport Recife (2017). Callum will host Fabricio during his stay and act as both assistant coach and translator for training sessions.
